Fluffernutter you're the one
You make bathtime so much fun? hmm, maybe not so much. How about fluffer nutter you're the one, you make snack-time so much fun..ah, that's more like it.

For this month's Browniebabe, I wanted to try something different. Browniebabe is a monthly event hosted by Myriam over at Once Upon a Tart, where a bunch of bloggers come together to show off their wonderful brownie recipes. So I've been on a big peanut butter kick recently. From peanut butter, I kept on coming back to fluffer nutter cookies. Bouchon Bakery makes these wonderfully large fluffer nutter cookies with a tender peanut butter cookie with delightful fluffy peanut butter cream. I couldn't stop thinking of them and how they'd be great in brownie form..so I got working.

I recently made David Lebovitz' Dulce de Leche Brownies. WOW. These were terrific. The brownie itself was a nice fudgy brownie and the middle layer of luscious dulce de leche is hard to beat. I enjoyed eating the top half of the brownie, eating the dulce de leche and proceeding to eat the rest of the brownie. Taking that idea, I looked up recipes for peanut butter swirls, and came upon this recipe at Good Housekeeping. I took that recipe, and added in about a cup of marshmallow fluff to the peanut butter swirl mix. Using the David Lebovitz recipe, I added the peanut butter mix, instead of the dulce and baked as usual. Since there was so much of the peanut butter, I think it took a bit longer to bake than the original recipe. (These are also delicious chilled.)
Well, these brownies are not for the faint-of-heart. It is absolutely necessary to have a nice cup of cold milk to accompany each piece. If you're a brownie and peanut butter lover, give these a try - you won't say it's lacking in peanut butter flavor! They're intense!

It looks yummy. Do you think the recipe would work if I omit the marshmallow fluff?
Hi Missy-J
You can absolutely make it without the marshmallow fluff! Thanks for visiting!
